Exit Tickets

Exit tickets are a great tool to use in your math classroom. Exit tickets can be used as a diagnostic tool to determine if students have the necessary knowledge and basic understanding of previous content before you move onto a new concept. By doing this basic diagnostic you can determine where to start and how much review you need to do from previous grades or lessons. Exit tickets can also be used to determine if students understood a lesson. After you teach a lesson, a exit ticket can help you determine if students are ready to move onto the next concept or if you need to spend more time on the current concept. Exit tickets can also be used as a self-assessment. Students can express how they feel about certain topics and their understanding of them. Exit tickets are a great and simple tool to use in any math classroom.
